Send us your music
As I’m sure, you have a library FULL of music that you love and listen to… and you’d love to hear some of it on the show. We now have a direct way, for you to send us your music!
Now we’re not going to give you a simple page that has an upload button on it… it’s going to be a bit more than that. We’re going to use a service called Dropbox. Dropbox is a wonderful file sharing service that runs as an application on your computer. This application works on most forms on Linux, Mac OS, and also who could forget, Windows. It makes a folder on your computer, that is then replicated online… here’s the thing though, it can be used on multiple computers. So what you have, is an identical folder on multiple computers, that’s kept up to date and synced by the software.
But how are we going to use this for your music? A shared folder! There are some steps to take, that will get you into our shared folder, so you can add your music. Once you add your music, it will instantly appear in our folder, and stay synced!

Steps!
- Sign up for drop box with this link.
NOTE: Please use THAT LINK and not just the normal sign-up on their website… Why? Because that’s our referral link, and when you use it, it gives both you AND us 250 MB of extra space, to go along with the 2 GB they already give you! What does this mean? You can upload more music! - Once you have an account, and set up the software (recommended)… Drop us an e-mail, with studio@xanacreations.com. We will respond as soon as we can, by adding your e-mail address to our shared folder. You will receive an e-mail back, asking you to join. Accept this.
- Add your music to the folder! You’re done!
Don’t fill it up too fast! The only thing is, we will not play any mono music, or music that is of too low fidelity. If you upload a 2mb 10 minute long mp3 file, sorry, but that’s a bit low. Also remember, that we only play about 40 songs a night, so don’t add your entire library. We only need a few extra songs to make the show powered by listeners, since a few songs by 10 people, along with the music by the co-host for that night, is a lot of music! Once you add some music, and we get it, we’ll take the music out of the folder and place it on our own computers, so don’t be a little scared when the files start disappearing.
Thanks, and happy copying!
